My heart has been heavy as I hear the rumblings of warfare rising all around — in families, in children, in marriages, in lives that feel torn apart. And I know I’m not the only one hearing it. The Lord has been confirming it through prophetic voices again and again: His coming is sooner than we could ever imagine.
No one knows the day or the hour, but God is calling His people: Get ready. Get rooted. Get in the Word. Shore up the boundary lines in your life and build on the only unshakable foundation — Christ Himself, our Cornerstone.
The enemy knows his time is short. That’s why the battles are rising faster, heavier, and harder than before. And when you look around at the attacks on families, grown children, prodigals, finances, marriages, health — it can feel like the enemy is winning.
But let me declare this right now: No, he doesn’t win. He doesn’t get the final word.
Like the worship song says: “It may look like I’m surrounded, but I’m surrounded by You.”
I don’t know what battle you’re facing today — maybe it’s in your family, maybe it’s in your own heart, maybe it’s a child or a situation that seems impossible. But the Lord keeps pressing me with this one thing: Put your faith in His Word. Speak His Word. Decree His Word.
Because it’s His Word that destroys strongholds. It’s His Word that drives out darkness. It’s His Word that breaks rebellion and silences the enemy.
And hear me — God has no rival.
Did you catch that? No rival.
What the enemy meant for evil, God will turn for good (Genesis 50:20). He alone picks up the whole earth as though it were a grain of sand (Isaiah 40:12).
Let me remind you who you’re praying to:
“Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of His great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.
O Jacob, how can you say the Lord does not see your troubles? O Israel, how can you say God ignores your rights?
Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of His understanding.
He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:26–31 NLT)
This is the Word of the Lord. This is your battle cry. So rise up and speak it over your situation. Decree it into your atmosphere.
The enemy doesn’t get your life. He doesn’t get your children. He doesn’t get your family, your health, your calling, your future, or your joy. He doesn’t win. God does.
So stand up, my friend. Lift the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. And fight — because this battle will be won in Jesus’ name.
A Prayer (Scripture) Decree To Pray Over Your Home
In the name of Jesus, we declare that as for us and our house, we will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15). We plead the blood of Jesus over every life in this family, and we overcome the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11). We decree that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment we condemn, for this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).
We declare that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We tear down every rebellious thought and attitude, and we bring them into obedience to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). We decree that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17), and freedom fills this home.
We renounce rebellion, for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft (1 Samuel 15:23). We resist the devil, and he must flee from us (James 4:7). We decree that the thief will not steal, kill, or destroy in this family, but that we will walk in the abundant life Jesus has promised (John 10:10).
As we anoint this home, we declare that the Lord will protect us from all evil and watch over our life, our coming and our going both now and forevermore (Psalm 121:7–8). This house belongs to the Lord, for unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain (Psalm 127:1). We decree that the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them (Psalm 34:7).
We stand strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. We put on the full armor of God so that we can stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10–11). We take up the shield of faith, extinguishing every fiery dart of the enemy. We wear the helmet of salvation, and we wield the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:16–17). We decree that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We proclaim that the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and guard us from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3). The peace of Christ rules in our hearts and in our home. We will not fear, for the Lord is our refuge and our fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2).
We seal these decrees in the name of Jesus, amen.
Stand firm and keep fighting,
