Part 7: Peace Is a Weapon, Not a Feeling
We don’t tiptoe into peace—we fight for it with truth.
Peace isn’t passive. It doesn’t sit quietly in the corner, waiting to be noticed.
It stands armed and alert—holding the line when everything else feels like it’s falling apart.
We love the idea of peace as a warm blanket—and sometimes, it is.
But more often than not?
Peace is a battle stance.
It’s what keeps your feet planted when fear wants to run the show.
Just look at Daniel.
When the decree came down—bow to the king or face death—Daniel didn’t scramble. He didn’t break down. He didn’t send out a prayer chain or panic-text a friend.
He opened his windows and prayed, just like he always did (Daniel 6:10).
That wasn’t rebellion. That was relationship.
It was the habit of a man who had already decided who his peace came from.
Daniel didn’t feel peace because the situation was easy.
He walked in peace because his faith had already been forged.
He knew the lion’s den wasn’t the real threat.
Losing connection with God? That was the threat.
So he stayed close. Stayed surrendered. Stayed grounded.
And because of that?
He stood eye-to-eye with a den full of death... and didn’t flinch.
Peace Like No Other
It’s not a soft whisper.
It’s a shield.
It’s not a maybe.
It’s a promise—anchored in the presence of God.
“My peace I give to you… not as the world gives.” — John 14:27 (NLT)
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You.” — Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)
This world offers “peace” that’s circumstantial.
God offers a peace that’s positional.
It’s not about what’s happening around you.
It’s about Who’s living inside you.
Peace Is Part of Your Armor
“...and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.”
— Ephesians 6:15 (NIV)
That verse? It’s not cute. It’s militant.
Paul is literally saying: your peace is what gives you footing on the battlefield.
Because if the enemy can knock you off balance, he can push you into panic.
But if your feet are planted in God’s truth?
You stand your ground—and he HAS to back off.
So How Do You Activate That Kind of Peace?
Establish Your Daily Rhythm
Peace doesn’t just show up when you need it.
You cultivate it daily—just like Daniel.
Get in the Word. Stay in prayer. Make Jesus your first conversation, not your last resort.Speak God’s Truth Out Loud
Anxiety thrives in silence. But peace grows when truth is spoken. Out loud.
Even when your heart doesn’t feel it—your words lead your heart.
Say it until your spirit rises up.Refuse to Bow
Don’t bow to the pressure to fix it all.
Don’t bow to the lie that God’s not near.
Don’t bow to the spiral of “what if…”
Peace begins when you decide, “I won’t bow to fear. I already belong to the King.”
Faith Activation Moment:
Peace is not found in the absence of problems.
It’s found in the presence of Jesus—and the daily choice to stand on His Word.
Because the more of Jesus you get inside of you—through Scripture, study, and prayer—the more you recognize peace not as a feeling, but as your inheritance.
So, when anxiety speaks, let peace shout back.
Peace says:
“I don’t need to figure it all out.
I don’t need to control every outcome.
I don’t need to fear the fire or the lions or the dark.”
Peace says:
“I know the One who shuts the mouths of lions.”

Grand Finale: Part 8 – Healed and Whole
You were never meant to manage anxiety—you were made to overcome it.

I love your writings Tracy! I have a bit of anxiety from time to time myself. There's a great song by the group TribeSong. The song is called "Stand". You would like it I think. It's about being a prayer warrior. Give it a listen! God bless.
