I’ll admit it. I love the Bible. And I love having multiple Bibles.
So when I received the opportunity to review the Every Woman’s Bible, I was like — yes.

A few years ago, it was time to get a new Bible. I had my “main” Bible that I’d carried since 2000. It was literally being held together with duct tape. But it was also the Bible that walked me through the darkest season of my life. So part of me didn’t want to let it go.
And yet… I was ready for something fresh.
That’s when I discovered the Filament Bible.
A print Bible that connects to a free digital app and brings your study to life in a whole new way.
Let me explain.
Have you ever read something in Scripture and thought, “Hmmmm… I’m not sure I fully got that”?
With the Filament-enabled Bible, you simply scan the page number in the free Filament app, and instantly it opens up deeper study notes, background context, devotionals, maps, even videos — all connected directly to the passage you’re reading.
No flipping through five different commentaries.
No guessing.
No confusion.
Just clarity.
How cool is that?
I believe 2000% that everything in our lives comes down to how deep our roots are in God. And roots grow when we dig into His Word — learn it, apply it, live it.
I recently heard about a long-term study from the Bible Engagement research that showed something fascinating: reading the Bible once a week doesn’t significantly impact your life. Two or three times a week has a small effect. But when you read Scripture four or more days a week, it radically changes how you handle anxiety, relationships, difficult seasons — everything.
That matters.
And that’s why I’m sharing this review.
Because reading God’s Word is the number one most important thing we can do in our walk with Him.
Now let me tell you what I love specifically about the Every Woman’s Bible.
Yes, the Filament connection is powerful.
But as you flip through the pages, you’ll find sections like Identity — where it breaks down the story of a woman in Scripture and draws out an anchor truth.
For example, Huldah’s story in 2 Kings 22 and 2 Chronicles 34 highlights that she stayed true to God’s voice. Then it asks a piercing question:
“Is your audience the Audience of One?”
That’s heart-level application.
You’re not just reading the Word — you’re being invited to see who God made you to be inside it.
Flip a few pages and you’ll find quotes from women of faith like Susanna Wesley encouraging you to keep going.
Flip a few more and you’ll find:
• Come Close sections
• Insight studies that dig deeper into a person’s story
• Image reflections connecting your story with God’s
• Charts, maps, context, full-color visuals
It’s layered.
It’s thoughtful.
It’s beautiful.
And it feels like it was designed by women who genuinely want women to grow.
There was a season in my life when I wasn’t reading Scripture to prepare a study I’m writing. I wasn’t studying it for content. I was clinging to it for survival.
That old duct-taped Bible holds tear stains. Margin notes. Prayers written in the middle of the night.
And what carried me through was God’s faithfulness to never ever leave me.
That’s why I care so much about resources like this.
Because when the storm hits — and it will — you don’t rise to the level of your inspiration.
You stand on the level of your roots.
And roots grow in the Word.
That’s what this Bible helps cultivate.
So, where can you get a copy of this Bible? I’m glad you asked.
Right here. (click the word: here)
Take a sneak peek inside….

Let me close with this.
Psalm 1 paints a picture that has stayed with me for years:
“Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked…
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.” (Psalm 1:1–3)
A tree doesn’t survive because it tries harder.
It survives because it’s planted.
Because its roots run deep.
Because it has a steady source.
Because it draws daily.
That’s what Bible study is.
It’s not checking a box.
It’s not religious activity.
It’s planting yourself by the stream.
And when life brings heat — and it will — your leaf does not wither.
That’s why I care about Bibles like the Every Woman’s Bible.
Because anything that helps women plant themselves deeper in the Word?
Anything that helps clarify calling, identity, and truth?
Anything that encourages daily drawing from the stream?
That matters.
Roots grow where the Word lives.
And that’s the kind of life I want.
