Are We Making Room for the Holy Spirit?
Growing up in Spain shaped my view of church in a way that still feels close to my heart. Church wasn’t about a set plan; it was alive, full of freedom, where people let God move however He wanted. I saw chains fall off people right there in front of me, and it wasn’t a one-time experience. That kind of worship was our norm.
Coming back to the States, I felt a shift that still resides to this day. The experience was different here—almost as if we were so careful to make everything perfect that we left little space for God to surprise us. I get it; there’s a comfort in routine. But I wonder sometimes if we’re missing something by holding on so tight. Church has always been about connecting with God, but maybe along the way, we started focusing more on what things should look like than on letting God move in us and through us.
It’s not about judgment; it’s about an invitation. What if we let go, just a little, of our need to control how God moves in our lives? I know I’ve had to ask myself that, and it’s a journey I’m still on. In my latest blog, I talk more about this idea of creating a “landing place” for the Holy Spirit—a place where He’s truly welcome to lead us in ways we may not expect.
If you’re wondering how to make more room for God’s movement in your life, maybe you’ll find some encouragement there. Read the full blog on Unveiled Living, and let’s explore together what it means to let the Holy Spirit have the space to work in us in fresh and unexpected ways.

I stand in agreement with you. I want to be a willing vessel for God's Spirit to move.
